Improved Eyelets and Large Size Changes

Eyelet Row

I made a ragland version of Tempting for my DD. While making it, I was also making eyelet-ribbing socks, and the perfect eyelet pattern for Tempting dawned on me.

*K2, YO, P2-tog, K2, P2-tog, YO* Repeat.

If you make the large size, your eyelet pattern will be offset by 4 sts. For some reason, all the other sizes have a multiple of 8 sts, except the large. I'd rewrite the large size as follows:

BODY

CO 184 sts

...work next 16 sts, then place those 16 on waste yarn, work across 92 sts, and place last 16 sts worked on waste yarn. Work to end of rnd. Set aside. Do not break yarn.

SLEEVE

Put sts on waste yarn AFTER you've worked them, otherwise you'll end up pulling the working yarn from the other side of the waste yarn - a fatal mistake.

Join Sleeves to Body

...working in 2x2 rib as set, work across 52 sts of one sleeve, work across 76 sts of front of body, work across 52 sts of second sleeve, work across 76 sts of back of body.

There should now be 256 sts on the circular needle....

YOKE

Work eyelet pattern row for all sizes
*K2, YO, P2-tog, K2, P2-tog, YO* Repeat.

Hope this helps!
